Lake Paupac is a fantastic place for family activities!
 
Our community offers:

  • Sunday morning Quaker Meeting at the Lodge and many other services in the surrounding area
… and these are just the summer activities. Many families come to the Lake during the fall, winter, and spring, too!
 
This page gives basic information on all the activities for kids and families at the Lake. If you have questions about anything, ask anyone you see.

Here are the resources available for children in and near the Lodge and the Beaches. Have fun, be safe, and clean up equipment and trash after every outing!
 
Playground Equipment

At South Beach
  • sand toys and buckets, shovels, beach toya … these are in the large bin near the bench (please remember to return toys to the bin after using and playing with the toys in the sand)

At North Beach
the North Beach is a simple, natural setting; wearing beach shoes is suggested
 
Here are even more ideas of fun activities to share with your kids:
  • nature scavenger hunts
  • Look for (iSpy) : something fuzzy, something [straight, round ,smooth , rough], 4 different types of leaves, a beautiful rock, something green, two kinds of seeds
  • swimming at the south beach ( remember sunscreen )
  • playing water games in the water
  • making sand castles at the beach
  • canoeing, kayaking, sailing, fishing (don’t forget to record any of the fish you have caught this season, the book is on the table near the indoor mailboxes)
  • hiking around the lake (don't forget your bug spray)
  • waterfall hike (Wear closed toed shoes, sneakers or hiking boots. Remember to pack water and snacks for your little ones)
  • bird watching
  • nature collections
  • collect things of nature and create a table centerpiece
  • collect things of nature for a terrarium and place in a pretty container
  • picking blueberries in late July and early August … there are many near the Lodge, some at the golf course and some near the north beach. Consider using your bounty for a yummy dessert or with ice cream and plan on baking a coffee cake or blueberry muffins or blueberry pancakes for the next day's treat

The Family Activities committee will have lawn games set up and available to play with before, during, and after the picnic. -these are for those who want to play with their family or groups of friends.
 
Finally, you are invited to create and advertise family events of your own designs.
