Racquet Sports

Lake Paupac Club is a great place to play Tennis, Pickleball, Soccer, Basketball, Volleyball, and Croquet!
The Club has one clay tennis court, one hard court, and one Sport Court supporting multiple activities. Round-robin, mixed-double, and kids' clinics are held from time to time at the Club. Check the website calendar for dates and details. There is a bulletin board location in the Lodge with additional information about tennis and pickleball. This is a great place to post notes looking for playing partners during the summer, and you can also post them at the Courts Kiosk next to the upper clay court.

Reserving Courts Online
Given the popularity of our new court options, we encourage you to reserve court time in advance.

Click to make a court reservation

Please reserve courts in advance, and remember to cancel any reservations you do not plan on using as a courtesy to others. If you reserve a court and are not present within 15 minutes of your reserved start time, your reservation is considered cancelled and the court can be used by other community members with or without a reservation.

Round Robins
Looking to meet up with other tennis and pickleball players for some casual competition and fun? Check out our new communication and coordination tool. Download the TeamReach App to your phone to join our community and see when a Round Robin is set up or coordinate one yourself. This is a great way to meet new players!

Tennis and Pickleball Lessons and Clinics
We are very excited that Brooke Wilkins, a local certified USPTA Tennis Pro, will again be available for tennis and pickleball lessons and clinics at Lake Paupac. Schedule your lesson/clinic directly with Brooke by email or text/call (570) 983-6107.

Racquet Sports Mixer Event
Again this year we have scheduled a Tennis/Pickleball Mixer Event on the courts at 1pm on Sunday, July 6th, followed by a Wimbledon Event at the Lodge at 2:30pm. Brooke will be running a children's tennis program at 1pm. Please RSVP by emailing me at mark.majeske@gmail.com. These events are ideal for sharpening skills and having fun!

Tennis and Pickleball Backboard
Deemed “the partner that never misses”, a backboard is a great place to hone your strokes or get out some energy when you don’t have a hitting partner available. The board is made of sound deadening material to be much quieter than hitting a ball against a regular wall. Please use tennis, pickleballs, soccer balls, and basketballs only on the backboard end of the court and have fun practicing!

Net Generation Starter Junior Kit
Lake Paupac Club is a USTA Certified Net Generation Community Provider and has a Net Generation Starter Junior Kit. The kit is available for use by club members and families and is stored in the golf shed near the courts. Please make sure to return the kit to the golf shed after use. There are racquets, multiple compression type balls, junior nets and curriculum and game ideas included in the kit.

The Grass Sport Area
If a group is planning to play Volleyball or Croquet on the grass area next to the Sport Court, you should reserve the Grass Sport Area using the reservation system. Please remove the Croquet wickets when done playing.

Court Rules
  • Reservations should be made online. If no reservation has been made, then it's first-come, first-served but you must relinquish the court for the next reserved time slot.
  • Smooth-soled shoes are required. Bare feet are not permitted.
  • Appropriate clothes are requested, including shirts for all players.
  • Courts must not be used for roller blading/roller skating/street hockey, lacrosse, or baseball.
  • When you have completed play on the clay court, please take the time to sweep the entire court using the tools provided. Here's how to sweep a clay court.
  • The backboard is only to be used for tennis, pickleball, and soccer; the court end with the basketball hoop may, of course, be used to play basketball as well!
  • If the net is lowered on the clay court, it signals that the court is not available for use due to damp or wet conditions. This is to protect the court surface. Please do not raise the net yourself. This will be done by our Resident Manager once the court is suitable for play.
  • Adhere to USTA Code of Conduct
The Racquet Sports Committee hopes you enjoy your time at LPC and you take advantage of our new facilities. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to Mark Majeske at mark.majeske@gmail.com.
